Our overall objective is to maximize general oral health by ensuring that high quality, cost-effective dental plans are available to all North Carolinians. To advance these goals we offer our services free of charge, as a public service.

Software and Tools to Self-Administer Your Plan
The North Carolina Dental Society provides several tools to assist employers with implementing and administering the plan.
These include:
Free software for claims processing and record keeping
Assistance with COBRA, ERISA, HIPA
A and Section 125 Compliance- Employee enrollment and claim forms

Customized Plan Document
We provide the Plan Document (the legal document governing the plan) to each employer. Federal law requires that employers maintain a copy of this Plan Document.

Summary Plan Description
We also provide each employee with a Summary Plan Description (SPD). This customized document comes in the form of a benefits booklet and provides covered employees with all the information they need to know, including the plan design and how to file and appeal claims. In addition, the SPD summarizes employees’ legal rights under the plan. A federal law requires all employees to receive the SPD.
